| REV. CRISTHAL BENNETT
Rev. Cristhal Bennett, M.Div., is a trans-denominational
minister and the founding Director of Silver Light
Ministries. In 1984, Cristhal experienced a spontaneous
Kundalini awakening that led her to study the phenomenology
of the Kundalini experience with Russian, Hindu,
and Sikh mystics, scholars, teachers as well as
directly with the Kundalini energy itself.
She
now dedicates her life to assisting others in
realizing their true nature as Pure Consciousness.
Cristhal is a gifted intuitive and an inspiring
coach, teacher, speaker and writer. She holds a
B.S. in Religious Studies from Holy Names College
(Oakland, CA) and a Masters of Divinity from Starr
King School for the Ministry (Berkeley, CA). She
studied at the Hridayam School of Psycho spiritual
Development and Kundalini Yoga for three years,
and is a certified teacher of Kundalini and Vinyasa
Krama Yoga.
MY
STORY
I was 7 when I had
my first encounter with Spirit. It took place on
an Easter Sunday, after a sunrise service. On that
morning, and in the weeks to follow, my eyes were
opened to Spirit in a profound way. The community
had gathered inside the church for breakfast. It
was an A-framed structure with windows that extended
from the floor to ceiling and overlooked a magnificent
valley that gave one the sense of being connected
with nature.
I
was sitting at a table with my family, and the
food was about to be served, when I found myself
in what is now termed an altered state. I found
myself bathed in a luminescence. I felt as if a
veil had been lifted from my eyes. The whole world
around me came alive--everything was electrically
charged: the table, chairs, the trees in the valley.
Yet, the people around me seemed to disappear.
I became aware of a Presence, and it filled me.
Then I smelled eggs; the aroma brought me back
to the world as it was. I looked around; the world
was the same--but I was not.
This
all took place within a matter of minutes; although,
it felt
that the world stood still for
an eternity. The Presence that I encountered
in my childhood has remained with me. I became
a seeker at the age of 16; searching for a philosophy
that would show me how to live a spiritual life.
I desired knowledge and understanding that would
allow me to access and channel the flow of energy
coursing through my body which I recognized as
the same Presence I encountered when I was 7.
In my mid-20s, I found a path that has allowed
me
to live the spiritual life I had been seeking.
During this period, I experienced a spontaneous
Kundalini Awakening, and for the next 1-½ years,
I experienced a constant radiant luminescence
flowing through my body, as I was transformed
from the
inside out. I was one with Source; there was
no longer any separation between me and that
which
I had been seeking for so long. It was during
this time period I was told to allow Spirit to
speak
through me and to assist others in awakening
their spiritual birthright.
Today
after 33 years of seeking and 26 years of practice,
I have gained a deeper understanding
of life as a reflection of Divine Consciousness.
The services that I offer--Spiritual Guidance,
Depth Spirituality through Kundalini Yoga, and
my Ministerial Services-- are all guided by my
awareness of life flowing as an ever-emerging
vision of the Divine.
